"Identities"

To be a Muslim, Palestinian and an American is to attempt to balance the differences in politics, culture and religion. 

 

The identity of being a Muslim, Palestinian American is difficult to visually represent. There are roles and expectations to fulfill based on culture, politics and religion. The roles often clash if they are not balanced with caution. As I stand between red and green street lights, I embody the struggle of when to express myself and when to hold back.
